Hottest Wedding Trends from Weddings, The Bridal Show: Pt 2

First of all...my sincere APOLOGY to anyone that emailed me and received no return email. I am SO SORRY!

I just received a call from a friend saying that she'd sent me an email and I didn't respond. Everyone that knows me knows that I generally have a really good email response turnaround, excluding Amber of Sweet Life Designs who I still owe an email and she knows it:).

Back to my apology... I immediately started trying to troubleshot because I had two people come to my bridal booth last Sunday who mentioned trying to reach me. I searched everywhere, contacted everyone and finally realized -- my email setting was set to reduce the number of porn emails I receive. When my setting was set to no block, I was receiving like 50 porn related emails a day! So, I changed the settings to low (vs no) and reduced some of the spam.

Instead of naming and personally apologizing to the 50 people whose emails were blocked, I will spend the time responding to the emails:). But, I would like to restore your confidence in me. Please know that if you need me and haven't heard from me - call me at 615-730-2226. My contact me form is now working and even spammers are welcome:).

On to my bridal show recap:

On Sunday, August 24, I attended the Nashville's Weddings, The Bridal Show. Whether you were able to attend or not, here are some of my interviews with Nashville's newest, most established or hottest bridal finds.

Welcome back to my virtual bridal show!

Nashville Wedding Venues There were several Nashville wedding venues in attendance -- from the Country Music Hall of Fame to the Gordon Jewish Community Center (Gordon JCC), a new and affordable wedding venue option. Jordana of the JCC spent a few minutes giving me an overview of the center and I learned that it's a great option, especially for brides with hundreds of wedding guests. It's huge and can accommodate up to 400, have plenty of parking and are open too religious denominations. I also chatted with Linda of the Belle Meade Plantation, which has indoor and outdoor spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Learn more via my video interview. And, check out my spotlight in this post.

Wedding Catering Trends The folks at Chef's Market always bring it! Savvy wedding planners know that they can't go wrong with Chef's Market; everyone raves about their service, style ad unique menus. I mean - Chef's Market is to food what Maples Wedding Cakes is to cakes - almost too pretty to eat.

Wedding Photography There was a great variety of wedding photographers at the show - from Shanna Mahoney Photography and Ace Photography to Nashville newcomers, Nashville Photography Group. However, I only had time to chat with Whitney of Dove Wedding Photography. Whitney and Peter ALWAYS have a great booth, which I think speaks to their ability to make brides and grooms comfortable, regardless of the environment. They can turn a hectic bridal show into a cozy and welcoming studio. Meet Dove in my virtual booth visit.

Bridal Gown Trends Yes, I featured The White Room last week, but I would be remiss to exclude them from the hottest find list. Check out my post from Tuesday for more info on The White Room and bridal gown trends.

Wedding Color Trends I think aqua and red are hot, hot, hot wedding colors. In fact, I am planning a baby shower and am using this color palette. So, imagine my surprise when I saw this booth by Something Blue Weddings and Events that featured my fave colors of the season! They incorporated a fab specialty linen from BBJ Linen. The hanging jars are a nice touch and so is the simple but elegant floral centerpiece.

Wedding Music I finally got an opportunity to chat with David, owner of Blue Tone Music. Every time I see him, he's smiling and pleasant -- he loves what he does! Blue Note Music is a premier music company that provides musical talent for Nashville weddings and events. From djs to bands, David and crew have the musicians for your big day. Met Dave and get a sample of his service via this video.

I will be attending the Enchanted Brides show and will have a booth at the Fish Bridal Show. I hope to see you! And if you can't make it, I've got you covered! All videos are courtesy of Melba Williams, a freelance filmmaker.
