Are you planning a 2010 holiday wedding? Look for inspiration at this year's holiday parties. Haven't decorated yet? Here are some ideas and local resources that have great holiday goodies. I know, I've sampled just about everything and even bought a wreath at the Brocade Designs Open House. Ms. Scrooge no more!
Brocade Designs Holiday Party
Brocade Designs is a floral design studio located in Nashville's arcade / downtown. In addition to cute wedding florals, everyday floral arrangements, the store also has offers homemade goods made by local artisans. Misty of Branch Blossom has a wonderful orange lotion that is all natural that I love. Designs in Paper's calendar line is available there. It's a great spot for handmade jewelry and one-of-a-kind gifts.
I LOVED these mini poinsettias. They are self water so you absolutely can not kill it. This would make a great gift for a co-worker. It's small enough to sit on their desk and cute enough to make them smile all through the holiday.
Upstairs was a dessert bar with treats. Holiday treats included: cupcakes by The Painted Cupcake, custom cookies by Cakes by Shara, a cake by Cakes by Rebecca, truffles by Chef’s Market and peppermint hot chocolate.
You’re Invited Holiday Party
I also visited with Amy and Stephanie of You’re Invited (http://www.yistationery.com). You’re Invited offers wedding/event planning, invitations and gifts. I bought a few gifts for friends and ran into Lillian - of A Bride in Boots and several wedding pros.
I really like how they labeled the desserts on their bar - looks like chalkboard but it’s black base with white writing!

How adorable it this! You’re Invited rents this dispenser. Stephanie, the event planner, rents these and says that you can replace the ornaments with strawberries (if you had strawberry lemonade) or just about anything!
