We’re Going to the Symphony…with a Swank Wedding by McNeal Video

Friday, October 31, 2008

Friday, October 31, 2008

Since I am not invited to all of these swank Nashville weddings (although Megan did invite me to her swank wedding for next weekend! Thanks Megan), I live vicariously through Nashville wedding vendors who come back and tell me all of the details. So, I really look forward to reading Cheryl's Notes. Cheryl is a member of the McNeal Video super team. I am not sure how they have time to video, edit and blog are in-depth as they do...but I sure appreciate it. So, I really wanted to share Jennifer and Jonathan's wedding, as videoed by McNeal. The wedding speaks for itself. You can see ALL of the intricate details and check get up close and personal with a Nashville Symphony wedding. Plus, as you can see, McNeal captured everything! Jennifer and Jonathan were married at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on October 26. They were surrounded by friends and family as they exchanged vows; then celebrated with a jazz brunch afterwards. It was a beautiful day for the wedding -- blue sky, warm weather, and love was in the air! Cheryl's Notes has all the details of the day, as well as lots of photos; so be sure to check it out. Jennifer and Jonathan are a charming couple that were obviously made for each other. I can't imagine one without the other. They truly are a special couple, and we felt honored to be part of their day.

Destination Wedding?  Take Your Favorite Wedding Vendors with You!

Thursday, October 30, 2008

Thursday, October 30, 2008 You attend Nashville bridal shows, visit AshleysBrideGuide.com and know other Nashville brides who've recommended great Nashville wedding vendors. But, you've decided to have a destination wedding - now what? No problemo! Most wedding vendors are open to travel, which is great! So whether you're getting married in the TN area or not, you can take our southern hospitality and great style wherever you choose to wed. For some vendors, this won't work...but for many wedding categories - like videography, photography, wedding coordination, event and floral design - it might be a great option. Enjoy this fun, beach side wedding by Myrick Studios, which features his recent destination wedding in Destin, FL. I'm jealous just looking at the pics! Guest Blogger: Myrick Studios is a Nashville-based, wedding photographer. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Chris & Tara down in Destin, Florida to shoot their wedding. These two were high school sweethearts and have been together for 10 years. You could totally see the joy on their faces because the big day was finally here!

Wedding Color Combinations by A Delightful Day

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Wednesday, October 28, 2008

Today's Guest Blogger: A Delightful Day, Nashville Wedding & Event Planners http://www.ADelightfulDay.com

I was searching through one of my favorite websites, Martha Stewart Weddings, and found some beautiful, and bold may I add, color combos for the new season. I love finding new colors and matching those that you wouldn't ordinarily put together. Enjoy! smile

The first color scheme is Gold and Aqua. I very regal combination, with the girly addition of the blue. I love the slight touches of gold and the girly blue ribbon on the cake stand. I love old fashioned cake stands. If you have a cake small enough on the bottom tier, I definitely encourage you to search in antique stores for a cake stand you can use at your wedding, and keep for future entertaining.

I love the modification of the monogram. This would be a perfect set up for any color combination! It's such a simple, yet glamourous set up!

A beautiful touch of color is perfect for bridal jewelry. A beautiful company to look at for colorful bridal jewelry is TenThousandThings.

Traditional letterpress would be gorgeous in this gold!

I love the non-traditional color of the cake itself, blue, with the gold as the stand out accents.

This gorgeous bouquet with incredible texture is composed of mini phalaenopsis orchids and ochre garden roses, yellow tree peonies, fuzzy bunny tails, and millinery flowers feels as if it has just been picked from a field of dreams. A gold satin ribbon ties it all together.

This is a beautiful spin on the traditional seating cards, bringing in luxurious satin ribbon in a solid and a print.

Nashville’s Going Cupcake Crazy!

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Everywhere I go, there are cupcake cafes...which is only a bad thing when you have poor willpower like me. So, the next time you pass a cupcake cafe, here's your excuse...wedding planning. You've got to find the perfect cake for your wedding and large samples aka cupcakes are much better than small bridal show samples. Here's a round-up of the many cupcake options for Nashville weddings. While many cake designers also offer cupcakes, many of the vendors listed below specialize in gourmet cupcakes. (If you are a Nashville cupcakery and weren't included, please send me pics of your cupcakes to add. I looked through most galleries and if I didn't see a cupcake pic, I didn't include in this post.)
