We Love This Wedding: Rachel + Brett Wed With Local + Vintage Style
Friday, January 27, 2012
We love when photographer friends share unique and Nashville stamped weddings with us. What says Nashville more than a local indie roots band and a historic, southern venue? This wedding has both! Plus, the bride, Rachel is a photographer herself! She photographed Cali Ashton's wedding and Cali returned the favor. These two gals did great justice to each other's special days. We are just too happy to share Rachel's day. Thanks to Nyk, Cali's husband, for emailing everything over. Nyk had some great things to say about the wedding...

Friday, January 13, 2012
We love Kerried Away Couture; the fresh, custom designs from Kerri are always a treat to see, which is why we were all too happy to share this wedding with you. More than just wedding gowns and bridesmaids' dresses, Kerried Away Couture specializes in taking your fashion design and creating a custom piece just for you. The three-step process includes you choosing the style, fabric, and adding your details. You could create a special occasion dress or skirt for your rehearsal dinner, a New Years Eve party, engagement party, or finally help your mother choose the fit and cut that will flatter her on your wedding day.

First, we featured their amazing engagement shoot by Ace Photography, and now we bring you the "I Do's" of Miranda and Grant. If you don't remember the first post - Grant propsed to Miranda three times before she said yes! Each time was equally romantic and sweet....but Miranda knew that the timing had to be right. And their wedding photos show that the time was definitely right! These two couldn't be more in love and happy together. Their love and style eminate in their wedding day, with a strong mix of eclectic flair in their intimate, downtown Franklin ceremony.

Jayna + David’s Old South, Carnton Plantation Wedding Meets Today’s Food Truck Trend
Tuesday, November 29, 2011
Since we are in the South, we of course love plantation weddings! So when Mere Bulles brought Jayna and David's wedding to us, we were just a bit excited! Why? Because we also love the new trend of having food trucks at weddings! (and we wished we could have been there - Mere Bulles is yum!) This is a perfect example of Old South meeting modern trends - you really can mix the two. Whether you choose, as Jayna did, to have the food truck act as your typical caterer, or have a selection of trucks serve your guests from their windows, this a trend we are seeing increase in popularity. We love the variety you can choose from and the fact that you have fresh, hot food cooked on the spot - but it's a huge step away from the hotel conference room food!

Fall is in here. The air is crisper and the leaves are changing. To welcome the change in season, Emily from Simply Yours Weddings has shared with us the wedding she coordinated for Rachel and Eric. This romantic, southern wedding was planned in just 11 weeks (you read that right!)! Not only are we impressed by Emily's skill, which is shown in the photos by Matt Andrews Photography, but we love the colors and overall Fall-ness!! How fun to have the "flower girl" through leaves! And take photos in golden leaves... Well, we hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

This included guests finding their seats at the reception with movie tickets and enjoying a popcorn bar.

Wear Clothes Out of Your Closet + Give to Charity! We Love Ellie & Nick’s Wedding at LP Field
Friday, September 23, 2011
How do you recognize a lasting and strong relationship? When the couple believes in compromise from the start, and are eager to make each other happy. Ellie and Nick are such a couple! They compromised on what many consider the "Bride's Day"; they really and truly made it their wedding day. Nick loves sports, so Ellie compromised and chose a location that he would love - hence the decision to marry at LP Field, home to the Tennessee Titans.

Lovers Eternally Knit - A Midsummer Night’s Dream Wedding at Stones River Country Club
Friday, September 16, 2011
Our ABG sponsors are like family, so when one of their own gets married, we get really excited to see the details. Today's featured wedding is that of Sam, whose mom Vicki Nelson runs Signature Cakes by Vicki, and Amber whose wedding was inspired by one of Shakespeare's classic plays. We knew the cake would be fabulous and couldn't wait to see it. We were overjoyed to see that they had several cakes - all custom of course and looking quite awesome. I've never seen a wedding based on a play before and it was fun to see Amber and Sam's take on "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

This cute couple didn’t exactly meet by chance, they were matched and they were matched well. But here is what’s even more fun– they are featured in this eHarmony commercial!

Real Wedding - Down Home, Southern Wedding With a Touch of Bling

What started as wet and gloomy, turned into the perfect day for Courtni and Chuck's wedding in Franklin, TN. They picked Music City Events to design and style their purple, yellow and bling wedding. The details were so delightful and I especially love the paper pom poms that provided wonderful touches of color to a very pretty venue.

Friday, July 22, 2011
When you think of a downtown Nashville wedding, you would usually imagine the skyline lit up at night and maybe a church or funky venue along Broadway. But Jamie and Andy's had nothing of the downtown feel; instead the photos show a warm, intimate ceremony that appears to be in the countryside. With such a fun twist, we had to share! Especially since we also loved their engagement photos, which we featured back in February.
